 Introduction/Overview 


  • Maitree and the TCS Community
  • Maitree was established with an intention to strengthen the bond between TCS employees and their families, as well as provide a platform to encourage hidden aspirations and talents.
  • Workshops on theatre, yoga, origami, flower arrangements, chocolate making And a host of others have allowed the employee to learn and know about things they always wanted to.
  • All in all , Maitree provides everyone at TCS the opportunity to establish relationships that extend beyond work and thereby , help build bonds that makes work so much more fun.

 



 "Maitree" meaning ? 

Maitree means "FRIENDSHIP"




  • Started In 23rd Feb 2002
  • It Is an Initiative To Engage TCS Associates and Their family members at Work place through External Sports And Providing Avenues to Volunteer for Community Service.


 What is TCS Maitree ? 

  • It is the core central function within Tata Consultancy Services Ltd. to lead, direct, and facilitate all activities related to Employee Engagement and Volunteering at workplace (for Internal Community - TCSers and their family members, for external community and for environment sustainability.

  • Volunteers from Maitree Initiatives work towards education and skill development by teaching underprivileged children.
  • In Addition it encourages skill development through women empowerment program and computer training program for visually impaired children.




 ENVIRONMENTAL AWARENESS 
  • Through Environmental Awareness initiatives and ecology clubs Maitree Organizes various Activities Which Create Awareness On Environment Conversation and Climate Change.
